At Bright Hope Education, we believe education in Kenya is one of the most powerful and sustainable ways to break the cycle of poverty.

Across many communities in Gede and Watamu, Kenya, children and young people face barriers that prevent them from accessing even basic education — not because of lack of ability, but because of lack of opportunity. School fees, uniforms, textbooks, and exam costs are often simply unaffordable. Without quality education, these young people are left with limited choices and little chance of long-term security.

Bright Hope Education currently supports 26 children and young people with access to educational sponsorship in Kenya, but the need continues to grow.

Bright Hope Education exists to change that.

Our History

Our work focuses on supporting children through education sponsorship, from primary school through to vocational and higher education in Kilifi County, Kenya.

We were formerly known as Rainbow House, which was a children’s home. The property is now held in trust as ABBAFATHERLAND and serves as a secure base for a range of community-focused educational activities.

The land is now used as:

The grounds are also used to grow fruit such as mangoes and bananas, raise chickens, and explore small-scale income-generating projects that help support ongoing costs for our education charity.

Children supported by Bright Hope Education live with their families or foster parents in Kenya, while we help ensure their education and wellbeing are properly supported through our sponsorship programs.
